Medicine For Humanity in cooperation with the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at UCLA School of Medicine conducts annual visits to Mbarara Regional Hospital in Uganda to carry out surgical repair of vesicovaginal fistula (VVF). In March 2011, Medicine for Humanity used EvoCam to treat five VVF patients. The patients were successfully treated and two of which would have been turned away without the use of endoscopy imaging.
